My Current Projects
I finally finished 'Harvest' - pictures posted in the Gallery. It's an adorable squirrel hanging upside down in a porcelain-berry vine. The squirrel turned out to be a challenge - the fur was fun, but getting legs, feet and face to look good was a bit of a struggle!Next project: Winter Cypress - an old piece on Rainbow fabric. Technique is unique, as far as I know, the 'leaves' are all horizontal stitches with tight twist. Stems and snow are diagonal and weft, respectively. The pictures in the galley will make it clearer, I hope. But I've just barely started.
I'm also working on Phase II of the beading curriculum. I finished Phase I (the eyeclass case, which I turned into a case for my IPhone) in early May. I'm about half through with Phase II, Calm Flow. And the Poppy Pouch awaits.
