Shipping & Delivery
JEC recommends and defaults shipping method as,
- UPS Ground (fully insured) for USA orders (within the U.S.A. exclude Hawaii and Alaska) *,
- UPS or USPS Express Mail for International orders (fully insured) (outside the U.S.A. include Hawaii and Alaska) *
*Or otherwise specified by the customers.
Most in-stock items will be shipped out within 3 – 5 business days (7 business days for high volume orders). Any order including Fabric Related Order will be shipped out within 15 business days. If you want us to dispatch your parcel earlier than the regular shipping date you need to update your order by indicating as a rush order, an additional $10 charge per transferred design will be added. All items purchased from JEC are made pursuant to a shipment contract with each carrier. This means that the risk of loss, damage, and delay for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. JEC recommends all customers fully insure (with an additional charge) your order. Each order will be shipped separately—one order, one shipment. “Add-ons,” combining multiple orders, etc., lead to confusion, delay, and errors. All information must be provided upfront such as order-related, shipping & billing address, and payment information in order for JEC to begin processing the order. The shipping date is subject to change when inquires are needed.
Shipping Method
JEC strongly recommends that all customers choose the appropriate shipping method and also insure the full value of your content since all items purchased from JEC are made pursuant to a shipment contract with each carrier. This means that the risks of loss, damage, return and/or delay for such items will be on the shoulders of the shipping company.
However, we are glad to announce that the international package is fully insured and partly covered for domestic now. Although, USPS expected delivery date for international shipment varies by destination. For time-sensitive orders, UPS is recommended.
International Customers – Outside USA including Hawaii and Alaska:*
1. UPS Worldwide Express:
- Default to all high volume customers (over $400 content value) or otherwise, you specified different shipping method;
- Guaranteed delivery speed 2-5 business days: customizable to your need;
- Tracking capability is available
- Fully insured
2. USPS Express Mail International:
- Expected delivery (not guaranteed) : 3-5 business days to most of EU, AUS, NZ custom;
- Tracking capability is available
- Fully Insured
- Default to all international customers equal or less than $400 content value or otherwise, you specified different shipping method;
3. USPS Priority Mail International:
- Expected delivery (not guaranteed): 6-10 business days to most of EU, AUS, NZ custom;
- Tracking capability is available.
- Fully Insured
4. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate International:
- Expected delivery (not guaranteed): 6-10 business days to most of EU, AUS, NZ custom;
- Tracking may or may not be available depending on the destination
- If your order does not qualify for the Flat Rate, it is automatically altered to Priority Mail.
- Fully Insured
5. First-Class Mail International:
- Tracking availability depends upon destination
- Up to $500 insurance coverage

USA Customers (except for Hawaii and Alaska): *
1. UPS Ground with full insurance:
- Guaranteed delivery: 3-5 business days;

- Default to all USA customers or otherwise you specified different shipping method.
2. USPS Priority Mail:
- Tracking capability is available
- Includes up to $50 insurance coverage
3. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate:
- Tracking capability is available.
- Includes up to $50 insurance coverage.
- If your order does not qualify for the Flat Rate, it is automatically altered to Priority mail.
4. First-Class Mail:
- Tracking capability is available.
- No insurance coverage
5. Media Mail Parcel:
- Only for media such as publication and CD-ROM
- Tracking capability is not available
- No insurance coverage

If you are picking up the items at JEC class or at JEC, we will ask you to sign if the quantity and quality are right. Please verify the quantity and quality of the products before giving a signature on JEC Packing Slip. JEC will not be responsible for the package after the sign is given. If someone is picking up on your behalf, make sure you ask your authorized person to verify the quantity and quality of the products before giving a signature. JEC will not be responsible after your package was released to you or your authorized person.

Returns & Replacements
Returns/Cancellations will not be accepted for special class fabric, customized orders such as Customized Phase Fabric, Non-Phase Fabric, Wish List Fabric and etc. Under no circumstances, JEC will accept returns without prior notification. And the product should be returned to JEC within 30 days from the invoice date. After 30 days, a 25 % restocking fee will apply. JEC products should be returned in the original packaging, in new and saleable condition for a full refund. JEC will refund your credit card, mail the refund check or offer store credit. Any additional shipping and handling fee of return or exchange of the product will be the responsibility of the customers. Products purchased that are downloadable are NOT refundable. After your signature is given on the acceptance form for JEC pickup, we will not be responsible for the return or refund under any circumstances.
Refund and Cancellation Policy for Class Tuition
A tuition refund minus the 25% processing fee will be given for cancellations only if the cancellation of a class is made 5 business days before the first day of the class. Japanese Embroidery Center reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment. A full refund (excluding any membership fees) will be provided in the event a class is canceled by the Japanese Embroidery Center.
Payment, Pricing & Promotions
JEC accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover for all orders. Check and Cash is accepted in-store-only (all in U.S. currency). JEC will dispatch orders after we confirm the full payment.
After an online order is submitted, the full amount will be charged within 3 business days as there is a chance of capturing an error from your credit card company. For orders via phone, fax, an email will be charged upon shipment.
The prices and promotions that are offered will change without any notification.
Order Procedure for Wish List Design
- First, please contact JEC customer support for availability and submit your Fabric Order Form.
- JEC will make and send an invoice with the total amount. Please pay only the non-refundable $100 deposit per pieces/design at this time.
- Your name will be on the wish list after you submit the deposit. JEC will process the order when 5 people (or orders) are on the wish list. It generally takes 2-3 months for fabric to arrive after JEC actually processes the order.
- When the fabric arrives, JEC will process the transfer.
- JEC will notify you of the balance due and shipping and handling when your order is ready to dispatch. JEC will dispatch your package when the balance plus shipping and handling is paid in full. Returns/Cancellations will not be accepted for special/customized orders such as Wish List Designs.
About Downloadable Products
Products purchased that are downloadable are NOT refundable. After your purchase is final, we will not be responsible for the return or refund under any circumstances.
About Auction Bidding
Before you attempt to bid items with at JEC Store, requires that you read and accept the following Agreement. Those who are under the age of 18, or who are not able to form legally binding contracts are prohibited from using. If you choose not to accept this agreement, you will not be allowed to place bids on the website. Terms & Conditions
1) Once the system accepts your online bid, you have entered into a binding contract with Japanese Embroidery Center inc., and are obligated to pay for your winning bid(s). By bidding, you are agreeing to be held personally liable for the bid amount, buyer’s premium, and any other fees or applicable taxes specified in the item description. Bidders agree that bidding on the Site is the legal equivalent of a firm purchase order. JEC reserves the right, and you acknowledge and agree to its exercise of this right, to notify third parties, including law enforcement authorities, credit bureaus, other auction companies, and industry regulators and authorities, about bidder, ‘s involved with or connected to fraudulent bidding or the failure to fully pay invoices in accordance with our terms and conditions.
2) All Bidders are required to pay for their purchases immediately upon receipt of the winner’s notification, sent to the email address in the buyer’s account. You agree to pay the full amount within five (5) business days after you receive an email.
3) Successful high bidders are provided an email with the checkout process.
4) All sales are final. No refunds will be issued. All merchandise is sold “as-is”, with no warranty, written or implied. No warranty is made with respect to the accuracy of any information provided to bidders regarding auction items, provided in either written or image form, and bidders should rely solely on their own investigation and/or research of the item they place bids on. Narrative descriptions and photographs provided in online auction listings are for bidder convenience only. We recommend that all potential bidders personally and physically inspect all auction merchandise, before bidding.
5) Japanese Embroidery Center inc. does not transfer legal ownership of items from the Seller to the Buyer. The Buyer will become the Item’s lawful owner upon the physical receipt of the Item. Japanese Embroidery Center inc. shall not be responsible for dispute claims filed after an auction Item has been removed from the Seller’s premises by the Buyer, the transportation company hired by the Buyer, or any and all other agents of the Buyer.
6) Our website uses Dynamic Ending Times for online auctions. Online auction ending times will extend by one-minute intervals if bids are placed at the last minute before the scheduled auction ending time. The ending times of the auctions will keep extending by one-minute intervals as long as bidding continues. Once there are 59 seconds without any bidding, the auction will end.

8) Japanese Embroidery Center inc. reserves the right to reject or void bids, whether winning or not, which it believes have not been made in good faith, or are intended to manipulate the auction process, or are prohibited by law. Japanese Embroidery Center inc. will ban the Seller from future use, cancel the involved transaction(s).
9) Japanese Embroidery Center inc. reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, or postpone any auction listing at our discretion, and Japanese Embroidery Center inc. will have no liability to prospective bidders or Sellers as a result of any withdrawal, cancellation, or postponement of any auction.
10) Japanese Embroidery Center inc. makes every effort to accurately describe vehicles and equipment using standard industry terms. Buyers must refer to the pictures contained in the auction listings to clarify their understanding of the specific item characteristics. Japanese Embroidery Center inc. cannot be responsible for misinterpretation or oversight by the Buyer.
11) Without limiting other remedies, we may limit, suspend, or terminate our service and user accounts, prohibit access to our website, delay or remove hosted content, and take technical and legal steps to keep Users off the Site if we think they are creating problems, possible legal liabilities, or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies, terms, and conditions. We also reserve the right to cancel accounts that have been inactive for a long period of time.
12) All information contained on www.jecstore.com is the sole property of Japanese Embroidery Center inc., and protected by the United States Copyright laws. No one shall copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, or publicly display any content from the Site without the prior expressed written consent of Japanese Embroidery Center inc.
13) If any provision of this Agreement is held or determined to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.
18) Neither Japanese Embroidery Center inc. nor any Seller makes any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to the property in the online auctions or its value, and in no event shall they be responsible for the correctness of description, mileage, hours, genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, condition of the property or estimate of its value. No statement (spoken or written) in our online auction listings, catalogs, at onsite auctions, or anywhere else shall be deemed such a warranty or representation, or any assumption of responsibility. The highest bidder for each Item shall be the Buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, at the sole discretion of the auctioneer, the disputed Item shall be put up again for bid and re-sold. Bidders should personally inspect Items before bidding.
19) Items not paid for within the required time period will be offered to the backup-bidder(s) and/or re-listed in the online auctions. Japanese Embroidery Center inc. reserves the right to offer any merchandise that was not paid for to any qualified buyer in order to satisfy the needs of our selling clients.
20) Japanese Embroidery Center inc. is not responsible and shall not be held liable for interruptions or loss of internet connectivity, user errors or software issues, system failures of the bidder, or their internet provider, or due to unforeseen acts of nature.
21) We send an official invoice (attached to an email) as soon as we obtain bid approval from the seller’s authorized representative(s). Sometimes it may take up to a week to obtain approval. Please be patient. Refer to the ‘Past Prices’ page to see the status of approvals.
22) Japanese Embroidery Center inc. is not responsible for the year, make, model, or serial number discrepancies. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the year, make, model, and serial number on the title match the year and serial number on the item they receive.
