In Gold thread making, there are several steps:
1. First, they will press the 100% pure real gold leaf to Japanese paper (called washi)
2. Cut the gold leaf into a long strip.
3. Twist/wrap the gold around core silk thread.

Unlike the imitation gold, everything is handmade and requires high skills

As stated, gold leaf is 100% pure gold. However, to make it stitchable, Japanese paper and silk thread is used as materials.
